It’s a tough time for many businesses right now and many entrepreneurs and business owners are finding themselves in deeper debt than ever before. As a result of just a few negative practices, some business owners and self-employed professionals have begun to debt compulsively. Warning signs of compulsive debting in business include not having a business plan; confusing personal finances with business finances; undervaluing and underpricing products and services; not knowing the exact costs of overhead, operating expenses, or profit margins; and not paying bills or taxes on time
However, help and support are available to those who need and want it.

Business Debtors Anonymous (BDA) is a distinct and dynamic but not separate part of Debtors Anonymous (DA), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 13-3527412), created to focus on the recovery of business owners and the self-employed. Together, members of BDA support one another in applying the DA principles and tools when owning and running a business. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop incurring new unsecured personal or professional debt.
We hope that you will help inform your audience about the serious problem of unsecured debt and offer help for it by airing the attached PSA “Help For Debtors” (:30), which is new for 2022. This PSA offers immediate access to free BDA literature, describing their 12-step program, providing support to business owners and entrepreneurs who are drowning financially, and helping them to live life without incurring new unsecured debt. The PSA invites listeners to visit HelpForDebtors.org, hosted by a registered BDA service group, where immediate help and information is available. We hope that you will air this PSA, which has no end date for use, as soon and as often as possible.
