Non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, heart failure, cancer and asthma have become a global epidemic that could cost millions of lives. Meeting the crisis will take leadership and innovation from many sectors, according to Bill Hawkins, chairman and CEO of the medical technology firm, Medtronic.
