Custom Feed Radio News Releases

Targeted to the stations and markets most appropriate for your news release, our custom feed service includes the following elements:

Writing / Production

• We write, produce and voice the radio news release (RNR), shaping its focus for maximum newsworthiness
• A soundbite (actuality) may be included
• We will conduct interview with the spokesperson via high-end phone line
• Stories should run no longer than 45 seconds to maximize placement

• Choose from 50 to 250 stations/networks
• RNR is pitched to radio station news directors
• Acceptance and usage depends primarily on the "newsworthiness" of the story and the amount of local and national news of the day
• With appropriate topics, minority, regional and state networks may accept the feed but story must have a pertinent angle
• Press release and hard copy of RNR are e-mailed or faxed to news director upon request to be used as a straight reader in conjunction with the actuality (Some stations don't use pieces produced outside of their own studios but will use copy if supplied)
• RNR is fed to station via internet or phone line
• Average usage rates range between 68%-73% with many stations airing stories at least two times

• A CD of the approved release is sent to client
• Acceptance report is prepared within one week of completion of the news feed listing markets and networks/stations accepting the feed
• A final usage report is prepared within 25-30 working days of acceptance report
• Usage is determined through telephone calls to 50% of stations accepting the feed
